I am getting an error -10000.

I am getting an error -10000. I just bought and downloaded the remained of an album (John Cooper Clarke Greatest Hits) but track 6, Midnight shift, will not download, it keeps trying and not succeeding.

Is the master file corrupt? Is there something I need to do?

My suspicion is that it is a corruption-on-servers-of-file issue with the 100000s, but I've never seen any official Apple word on it.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

I was about to comment on the ludicrously fast response... the file has now downloaded.

Now there is a NEW problem.

(step 1)

It says the computer the file is on is not authorized (all the other files work fine).

It asks me to authorise the computer.

I sign in and...

it tells me the computer is ALREADY authorized. And then back to step 1.

I was so pleased when it downloaded finally. This makes its subsequent failure an even greater fall from grace...

🙂

Accck. Okay, this time the file on your computer is damaged.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. (Fingers crossed that we don't get that 10000 again ...) See the following document for instructions:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I am getting an error -10000.
