Can I use Spotlight search to find text in particular application?

For example, I use Notes Plus application for taking notes on a daily basic. I have a lot of notes (both handwriting and text), the app offers the ability to search for text. But when I use Spotlight to search for content, it doesn't work from there. Is there any setting to enable Spotlight searching for my notes in Notes Plus application (or some other applications)?
