That's ridiculous...
Don't clean your screen with anything but a product specifically designed for cleaning Apple products. Water is one such product. I use iKlear products available at Amazon.com to keep my MBP in sparkling condition. I've been using them for almost 20 years on my Apple products.

I use ScreenDr LCD cleaner for the screen and 70% alcohol for the unibody and the keyboard. Just a few drops on a cotton ball with the alcohol, do NOT saturate the cotton ball. You don't want to get it down in between the key.
