When I first started using my iPad 3,I thought Safari was just a suggested homepage offered by Apple. I replaced it with Google. This was about 3 months ago(due to illness) don't really remember exactly what I did. Could anyone help me restore Safari? Please,would so appreciate it. Mar.cia

If you want Google as your homepage, open Safari.

Type www.google.com in the address bar

Then tap the action icon (box with a right facing arrow just to the left of the address bar).

Then tap: Add to Home Screen

That you can access your homepage directly from your Home screen.

Actually, I wanted Safari back,because I can use Google separately. Would you know how to do that? Thanks so much for your quick first answer.

Safari is a pre installed app that cannot be deleted.

Try this...

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

Safari should be in the Dock at the bottom of the diisplay.
