cant use facebook videocall on mountain lion

Hello everyone ,

i got a macbook pro 13 inch core i5 late 2011 , it came with osx lion and i been using facebook videocalls normaly , now i updated to Mountain lion

but when i use facebook video calls in (safari ,chrome ) i see the window box but i only see my self i can hear my friends but cant see em, they also can see me and hear me but i just see me and hear them .

any ideas ?

10.8.1 has come out and it is still not working for me. I have also reinstalled the plugin for the video calling. Did you guys have Skype connected to your Facebook account? I feel that this could be a source of the issue.

hello ,

i also reinstalled the plugn ,isnt a problem with conneting skype with facebook ( i had this problem even without conecting )

the only way i can use video call is through skype app for mac , it works fine for me .

but im still having problems with facebook videocall i think ML 10.8.1 have an incompatibily problem

I experience the identical problem since upgrading to Mountain Lion. It happens across browsers. I've duplicated in Firefox, and in RockMelt, whether logged in through Facebook or independently. I uninstalled and reinstalled both the Facebook plugin and the Skype application. I also tried tricking the application using the Developer menu in Safari. I have NOT integrated my Facebook contacts into Skype.

Another reason not to be an early adopter.

I tested with google chat and works fine.... the problem continues with facebook.

Installed today's Java 1.6.0_35 update but it doesn't fix video calling

Installed Oracle Java 7 but then Java stopped working in Chrome and had to uninstall it using some strange code in the Terminal. Now I can add Google to my hate list.

fuckyeah! same thing happened to me but i did not upgrade yet, i thought there is a problem on my system so i decided to clean install a new lion but still same thing happened! disappointed..

There was a thread on this same issue on Facebook at www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=2319541&ref=notif&notif_t=answers_a nswered that mysteriously disappeared earlier tonight. Anyone else here post in it, and have any idea what happened? Is this problem now quietly resolved?
