How to exclude songs from shuffle rotation?

Ok, so I've got about 15-20 disks of pre-school music on my ipod for long family trips. I've figured out how to keep podcasts, movies and audiobooks out of it, by removing the album name for all of them and setting it on Album Shuffle...but how do I keeep my daughters music out of the shuffle without taking it off the ipod?

I would use playlists for this, and then shuffle the playlist not, the whole collection of songs...

I also use the recommendations of this blog to shuffle through my mp3 colleciton (since it is larger than what the ipod can store.

check both this links for recommendations

Smart lists are a Godsend. I use it to set playlists with only my music (my wife's music is also int he same library). It justs works...
