go to "Language and Text" in system preference of apple logo (up left of monitor)
do adjustments if needed (normal script)
and there is a big problem. I think apple does not support it but "page" should
that is all I know and it is working.
"page" is an apple program sold at the apple store for $20. It is kind of like word and if you have word 2004 (not new ones) export your document to word and save and it should work on word too.
I am puzzled by your post.
This question has been addressed many, many times in this forum. Almost nobody uses Pages for Persian because it does not work right. It has no setting for Direction and the cursor does not move and insertion/editing is a nightmare. TextEdit and Mellel are vastly superior, and I strongly recommend you use them instead. But if Pages somehow meets your needs, that is great.
Nobody in the world uses Word for Mac for Persian because this app has never supported RTL scripts (the letters are normally not even connected). If you have a screen shot of Word for Mac doing proper Persian I would love to see it.
pages works but it is not the best to do persian with. if you want to send it anywhere first you have to export the article and then if the word processor "word" is 2004 series (not the 2011) then you have a chance to have it in words and transfer it to another window platform. but if it is office 2011, you have to copy the article and paste it in first page of your email compose page. still not all companies can do it but Shaw system here accepts and does it. then send the email to a window base computer and copy-paste to word.
it is not the best system to do Farsi but by playing around with systempreference-language text you should be able to have it in farsi writing but I DON'T RECOMEND PAGES for this purpose.
it is not a solution that is for sure
Why would you bother with all that stuff when you can just write your text in the free OpenOffice or TextEdit from the beginning? Both of these will normally create word format docs that look right both on the Mac and on Windows without any further contortions.
Pages and other iWork apps have bugs that make them unsuitable for Persian for most purposes. The best app to use is Mellel, but TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and OpenOffice should also work OK.
