Speed up animation between Spaces
Hello,
I'm using OSX Mountain Lion. I usually work with the laptop closed, an external monitor, an apple bluetooth keyboard, and a magic trackpad. I'm a developer, so I usually have 3 full-screen'd terminal windows open along with a desktop. I love being able to quickly switch between the full screen'd apps using guestures (I have it set up for 3 finger swipe). However, when I upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion, I found that this workflow was hindered significantly.
For one, it takes waaaay too long for the spaces swiping animation to complete. I've tried many workarounds floating about on the internet, but none seem to work on anything above Snow Leopard. Secondly, and the most annoying, my keyboard input is being captured on the previous screen until the spaces swiping animation is complete. This is incredibly annoying, as I end up typing wrong commands and closing things accidentally all the time. It's driving my crazy having to wait until the animation is complete. At least in Lion it captured my input in the new window during the long animation :/ .
Is there anything at all that I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
- Jeff
