Aug 17, 2012 1:51 PM in response to baronmusicby Kappy,Apple sells a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor and a Thunderbolt to Firewire adaptor, supposedly, for the Retina model. But if you can't do wired, then do wireless although it will be painfully slow.
It might be faster to copy what you need to an external hard drive that you can use as an intermediary.

Aug 17, 2012 2:44 PM in response to baronmusicby Linc Davis,On the Mac with the optical drive, select Apple menu > System Preferences > Sharing > DVD or CD Sharing. When you insert a disc, it will appear as a device in the sidebar of a Finder window on another Mac on the local network.
