That generally means a really messed up Hard Drive, does it boot from an Insall Disc using the c key?
Does anything show as a boot choice if you hold Option key at bootup?
I think youre right about the hard drive. Tried every tip i got but nothing worked
When i press options screen comes up to enter a pwd. I dont have any. Maybe there a defaualt pwd.
Any ideas?

Did you buy this used, or maybe it has a blank PW & just hit enter for it?
If you have never started up this MacBook, it sounds like from what you have said, that there is a firmware protection in place.

In the interests of preserving security for the Mac users who do use this security measure, I think it would be best if you took it into an Apple Repair shop and asked them to 'unlock' it.
