I just got a macbook pro, i registered my email just to try it out, but now i want to take my email off of mail, and i don't know how to. need some help.

I'm sorry, I'm still a little confused. OK, I use gmail as well - I have an IMAP account set up for it in my email application. Do you have an account in Mail to receive your gmail by either POP or IMAP? Is that what you're trying to delete? Or did you use your gmail address for your Apple ID and you want to change that?

The same thing you have, i set up my email with IMAP, and then i was trying to take my email off, i didn't wanted people to see my emails when they used my computer. But now it's fine, i upgraded to mountain lion, and now it looks like my gmail isn't there anymore.
How do I sign out mi e-mail from Mail?
