Semi Transparent Overlays for imovie?

I have been trying to find a way to make my videos semi transparent when you click the "picture in a picture" button but i can't seem to find anything that will do that? Does anyone know how to?

Hi

No iMovie can not do this natively - and iMovie'08 to 11 doesn't take any plug-ins so it needs more magic to do this.

I have to add:

that 'transparency'-trick works onl with stills (png).

I once tested it, to create 'semi transparent moving pictures' - but the efforts don't pay the results, better you use Motion5 s effects-machine for iMovie, or switch to the Big Toy FCPX .....
