I am BEGGGGGING you to pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease make Mountain Lion compatible on older MacBooks. I paid for my laptop and I want to pay for the new OS!!! Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

If it doesn't qualify, then I'm afraid your'e out of luck.

http://www.apple.com/osx/specs If your computer isn't compatible, you can't update to 10.8, but it will work for years

Which Exact model year and version number of Mac do you have?

Regret MacBooks with core duo are 32bit processor and can't boot the now 64bit only ML

Further the core 2 duo models with intergted GMA graphics have also been left out because there is no native OpenGL support on those modules.

The MacPro 1.1 and 2.1 are also left out due the EFI32 boot rom even though they have 64bit processors.

Some and all of those problems have potential work arounds however those are not for these forums.
