How do I stop my pictures from being automatically deleted?

The only thing I have thought of is to find a photo editing app (PS Express would be one example) that lets you browse your albums and camera roll photos but doesn't let you delete them. Then open this app when you or your daughter are looking at photos. And perhaps try to hide your original "Photos" and "Camera" app icon within a folder somewhere away from your usual home screen – you can always access the camera from the locked screen without access to your past photos.

Has anyone written a simple app for browsing photos without edit/delete functions?

Watching all the little ones (and having one myself now), I think Apple should think about an "Explore" mode into which you can open your device and let them play, knowing the important things like address book etc can't be opened/edited.

Other than passcode protecting your phone or not letting your daughter play with it, there is nothing you can do to prevent this as long as the photos are in your camera roll.

If the photos are important to you, you should have a backup so if your daughter deletes it, you can sync it back but you cant stop it as wjosten says.
