Can I connect my iPhone to its own WiFi?

I have the iPhone4 through Sprint and I have the personal hotspot activated on it. Whenever I turn it on, it says that there are two connections, but my laptop will be the only thing that is connected to the WiFi. Is there a way to connect my phone back to the WiFi or will I have to get another hotspot?😕

The phone cannot connect to its own WiFi, but why would you want to?

The hotspot feature shares your cell phone carrier's cellular data or internet network with a computer or another device that doesn't have cellular data or internet access but can connect to an available wi-fi network.

So your iPhone is connected to Sprint's cellular data or internet network or you wouldn't be able to have a hotspot for your computer as well as your computer.
