First time trying to share out of FCPX. When I use FCPX "share" I get a message right at the start that says "failed" The multicolor line is turning but above that it just says failed. I tried to share to apple tv and it gave me the same message. Using the most up to date software and computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where are you trying to export to? Try export media to your desktop? Does it work?
Is all the media in the project? Nothing missing?
I have got this message many times. My solution that never fails is to use Compressor, which has many excellent presets, and then upload via Safari.
sent to my hardrive as a .mp4 That worked. It's getting it from there to Vimeo that still won't go. Straight from FCPX using the share feature is where it gives me the "failed" message right from the begininng. Called Apple and did not realize FCPX has 90 telephone customer svc. They had me download to hardrive and from there told me the problem was the internet conneciton or a problem with Vimeo.
Did you use the compressor application by Apple?
