Changing the size of my desktop folders

My desktop folder icons have shrunk for some reason on my MacBook. How do I make them bigger?

MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Choose Show View Options from the Finder's View menu and resize them.
