Question

MacBook5,1 2.4 GHzIntel Core 2 DuoStart driveSATA HDDSeagate 750GB 5400rpm ST9750423AS HFS+(journaring)Memory{2GB DDR3 1067MHz} x2No additional hardware.I installed Mountain Lion on new HDD with clean install about 2 weeks ago.The installation seems good. I have used it everyday.Today, I installed Xcode3.This installation suddenly stopped, and my macbook never restart normaly.I am still forced to start it in safe mode.In safe mode, I am not aware any XCode 4.4.1 is required for Mountain Lion. You have installed the wrong version. You need to uninstall it then download and install the proper version.You need to add some more RAM. 2 GBs is just not sufficient with Lion or Mountain Lion.

I am not that lucky like yoneken. My installation of Xcode 3.2.6 was crashed. Then reboot got same issue.Login with safe mode and found there is no "/Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools" on my hard disk. Could someone share it with me? Thanks.

Thanks a lot XiaoBaiTu, you saved my day.I found the those 3 extensions in /System/Library/Extensions and I deleted those files beginning with CHUD and it worked like a charm.🙂
