Cannot connect to server

I am currently abroad on holiday in Spain from the uk. I have turned off data roaming but now I can't get any Internet access via wifi. I keep getting the message safari cannot open the page beacuse it could not connect to the server. Can anyone help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Thank you for your reply. I found that resetting the network settings in general fixed the problem.

Thanks actually following this cleared my issue with not connecting to Itunes with the error message E8000065.
