Keynote to Quicktime degrades images

When exporting Keynote to Quicktime some images, notably the darker ones, go quite horrible, with pixilation and wierd colours. I have tried changing pngs to tiffs to psds all to no avail. The only thing that makes a difference is if I lighten the picture, which defeats the point of the excersise. Anyone got any ideas of how to overcome this?

you are encoding at the default setting, you therefore need to encode at a custom setting for whatever the end product is

you may want to experiment as to which codec you choose

file > export > quicktime > format > custom

video > custom size > settings

compression type > (change the setting to the comression type you need)

compressor quality > change to high or best

sespect ratio > set to 16x9 ot 4x3 as appropriate
