got some raid issues, need some help quick

Had to replace my OS hard drive, resinstalled OS 10.6 and updated to 10.6.8 on a 2x2.66 Ghz Dual-core Intel Xeon

I did have an internal 2tb disc mirror raided to and external 2tb disc controlled by the Mac Disc utility

Now the new OS drive is up and running it pops a message saying the Raid drive is not recognises and needs to be initialized or ejected, its the same if I plug either drive into another mac

If I ignore it and run Disc Utility with both raid drives pluged in DU sees the them as a Raid set and states they are good and online

I do have an additional back up but really don't want to recopy all that dat if I can help it

Any ideas?
