Where can I get an external enclosure that will fit a Hitachi HDD?

Have you tried one of the computer parts suppliers like MicroCenter in the US or OWC ( http://www.macsales.com ) they may have something.

Exactly what do you mean it Does Not Fit. If the enclosure is for SATA drives even if it is for desktop size drives you can still connect a Notebook size drive to the electronic in it that adapter it to a USB connection.
