My Canon pixma mp480 won't scan since I updated to Mountain Lion.
The Canon Site shows updates available but the don't seem to downlaod to my computer. Any ideas?

Use http://support.apple.com/kb/DL899 to download the Canon drivers.
Thanks John but it didn't help. The printer prints it's trying to scan using the MP naviagtor. I found a work around for now but a tad confusing for my daughter to use.
Jeffrey, maybe this thread will help then? Or at least provide an explanation of what's going on.

Not sure if you can help me. I have the same problem. I recently updated to Mountain Lion and now my Canon MP480 won't scan. It prints only.
Please let me know how you got it working.

I ended up on the canon site and downloaded the drivers and it seemed to be what I needed.
I have OS x 10.9.5. My Canon Pixma MP480 stopped scanning. Using info from this thread, I deleted all canon apps from Applications and deleted the printer in System Preferences. Then I download all the new recommended drivers and software from Canon for this printer. Restarted the computer and now it works perfectly again - both the printer and the scanner function. Thank you everyone!
