Ram Sticker (Should I remove it?) (and BONUS dumb question!)

This is probably a dumb question, but I just upgraded my Intel iMac to 2 g myself with some OTW ram, and everything is working sweet ...

... but I noticed there were little stickers on the ram, and feel kind of weird about leaving them on inside the computer. (The reason I didn't take them off was because the stickers said WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED, so I'm guessing obviously it's okay to leave them on, but wanted to ask you super-smart folk to be sure. In other words, ram sticks don't get hot or whatever, and the little stickers won't mess up my comp somehow ...? Just checking ...)

Also: BONUS question -- I removed the 512 RAM stick to make room for the 2 gig -- is this something I could sell, like say on ebay, or is it not usable for other comps?

Anyway, thanks for listening ...!

I've never removed the stickers, and never had a problem with RAM.

You can sell the RAM, but I would suggest holding onto it. If you have problems with your system it is always nice to stick in the original RAM to see if the problem goes away. Also you can tell AppleSupport that you have the same problem with the original RAM, and if you have to send it back you can hold onto your RAM.

Looks like keeping the 512 ram is good advice --

I just put the two gigs in today, and I noticed my comp was acting up, programs shutting down and such -- did the test and, bingo, bad ram.

Sigh ...

Took out one of the 1 gs, replaced the 512 (for a total of 1.5), test says everything is cool. So I guess I'll see what it's like to go 1.5 (instead of 2 g) and maybe see if I can just get my money back on the second 1 g, because I don't want to have to go through all this again ...

Thanks again for the advice ...
