Is it possible to create hyperlinks in Mountain Lion Notes? My old links in Notes created in Mail under Lion OS still work but I don't see any way to create new internet links or to edit existing links. I can't believe Apple would remove this functionality so I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something!

In the menubar, Notes > Edit > Substitutions > check Smart LInks.

Well, it's not a very intuitive location on Apple's part but at least it makes link text clickable. Do you know if there is still a way to create a clickable link from a keyword or phrase instead of only identifable link text?

I think that was an ability of Mail that got left behind when Notes became a standalone app.
If you want to, you can create text that functions as a link in apps like Pages or Word and then copy and past them to Notes. Kind of klunky, but it works.
