Feb 24, 2014 5:39 AM in response to twilliams4thby cruisingjack,Amazing, just a simple "right click" and the problem is solved. I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to install an HP driver and found this fix this morning. Problem solved in less than a minute.

Mar 29, 2014 11:47 AM in response to twilliams4thby Howard,Ditto on the Muchas Gracias twilliams4th!
Was able to get an old HP LJ 4000 with Jetdirect on the home network. This even allowed me to find a driver for an older HP LJ 4M Plus (4 Plus) that let me configure options!

Jan 25, 2015 2:39 PM in response to twilliams4thby adavies42,This solution didn’t work for me. What did work was find the driver manually:
- In the “Add” dialog, from the “Use” drop-down menu, select “Other…”.
- Go to “/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources”. (The easiest way to do this is probably to hit ⇧⌘G and paste the path in.)
- Find your printer’s PPD file and hit “Open”. (If you don’t see it, try Googling for “apple printer drivers” plus the manufacturer to find the driver package, and manually install that.
- Hit “Add”.
Hopefully that should do it!
