can i use my ipad as notebook in meeting

I personally just take notes with the Notes feature on iOS, on my iPad, iPhone and MacBook Pro, or if I need to sketch something out and take notes about it, I go with a traditional pen and notepad, then I can transfer my notes to my digital devices later either using Notes or Pages and then for my drawings I usually use Keynote.

As I said before, for me it is easier to write something out on a piece of paper and then when I have time, manually type in what I wrote down on the paper into the iPad.

I am not aware of any apps that actually translate what you write with a stylus or finger into actual lettering.

I hear that Evernote is very good.

Of course you could the iPad's Notes application - you could turn on dictation and simply speak your notes into the iPad.
