Have suddenly a black bar with text
A black bar describing activties, appear on the display. Very annoying and want to get rid off it. Please can somebody help what I need to do ?

From the menu bar, select ▹ System Preferences ▹ Universal Access ▹ Seeing ▹ VoiceOver: Off
10.8:
From the menu bar, select ▹ System Preferences ▹ Accessibility ▹ VoiceOver and uncheck the box labeled Enable VoiceOver.
