I would very much appreciate if someone could give me any idea about this.
In the login items, this "ewcdmaService" app has an entry with yellow triangle. Google informs me that this is some kind of app for mac informer. I am sure that it is not an official application. Is it something rogue that I need to get rid of?

Macbig, from this website only I came to know that this is some kind of mac informer app. However, not much more is available about what is does and how it could be removed (most important) from the system.
Checking the link posted, it looks like an application to me. Also, in order to show up in Login items, it had to have been installed. Have you checked your Applications folder and/or done a search of the hard drive for it?
If you do not want it, I'd check their website and contact the developer to ask about an uninstaller.
Had this service, too. It was from an USB Modem I had installed once.
Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups. In your user, choose Login Itens, right-click on the service and choose Show in Finder. It will show the service inside the package. In my case, it was the application HSPA USB Modem. Restart your computer and it will be gone.

I had this too after using an USB modem installation from Smartfren connex UI.app. It came together with an uninstaller and removed the app and also removed the login item ewcdmaService.
