Apple does not provide an anti virus software.
You can download ClamXav for Mac from the App Store. It's free and v10.6 Snow Leopard compatible.

Aug 20, 2012 1:44 PM in response to Arbogaby Allan Eckert,★HelpfulSo far all of the "cleanup my mac" software I have tested has been a dismal failure.
They either don't do anywhere near what they claim they will do or else they do dangerous stuff without even asking your permission first.
For these reasons I recommend most strongly that you avoid them all.

Aug 20, 2012 2:10 PM in response to Arbogaby Allan Eckert,I hate to have to say this but after some of the stories I have head about what they are telling their customers at the Apple Stores today, I am going to have recommend that you run it by us here on the forums. It appears some of the staff at the Apple Store are not the most knowledgable.
