Over 25 dead/lazy pixels + dust
I posted a
thread earlier about dust underneath the outer screen of the iPod. I called Apple Support and was told to visit the nearest Apple Center and check for any other malfunctions.
I have just now checked the LCD screen itself (using video and a black picture) and I'm now noticing over 25 dead or lazy pixels (not familiar with the exact difference). I don't see any black ones though, they are all white (some brighter than others) and some appear to be greenish at a certain angle.
What's Apple's policy on this ? I heard (I know, don't believe everything you hear) that when the malfunctioning pixels are white, Apple will "repair" the iPod, and when they're black, they'll replace it. Has anyone had any experience with this ?
Thanks in advance,
Billy
