If that keeps fixing your problem I'd conclude that it should be replaced.
Unless you are using an Apple airport router, this has nothing to do with Apple.
Apple cannot control the firmware on nonapple products.
If your router is faulty or not up to date, get a new one.
My buffalo router works well and has never been restarted(except for Firmware update).
