Have enjoyed the questions and answers for years and now I have a question..... On the Checklist template in numbers, can I change the word Checklist to something else? I can't seem to click on it, double click on it, highlight it, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help.
If you mean the name of the template fle... you can open the file, then save as a NEW name, then save back as a template.
If you want to change the name of the table in the sheet, then double click the name in the Sheet list (on the left), edit the name , then hit return:

FYI this is an old thread that references Numbers '09. If you are using Numbers 3 you will change the table name using the Format sidebar:
When Table Name is checked you can edit the name directly over the table. If you don't want to see the name you can uncheck it. Every table needs a name and blank spaces could get you into trouble down the line.

Glad I found this answer before I posted my question!
As a follow-up, can the table name be omitted altogether or at least replaced by blank spaces?
I use Numbers '09. Looks like it is done pretty much the same way except you use the Tables tab in the Inspector. Thanks for the pointer.
