Preview no longer shows kb of file before saving

"Preview" application under 10.58 was fine and intuitive. When saving a png or jpg as a jpg, one could move the slider and the kb file size would be seen BEFORE saving. But with O.S. 10.74, Preview application V5.5.2 does not estimate jpg file size. Can't find a preference to make it appear.

This version does some other strange things also.

Anyone know how to revive the kb estimate before saving ?

This is sickening - incredibly bad feature regression. As a Mac user more more than 20 years, to me this is inexcusable and unacceptable.

APPLE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS: What the **** is wrong with you? PUT THIS FEATURE BACK IMMEDIATELY. It was SO USEFUL to know the Save As file size, and SO COUNTERPRODUCTIVE now that it has been taken away.

APPLE: WAKE UP and start LISTENING to the folks who made you successful. You are moving backward.
