You can purchase a new MacBook Pro or MacBook Air at Apple's online store for New Zealand.
For selling your current computer, you may have luck using Craigslist. There are probably other sites, try searching using Google.

Thanks for the advice for my current laptop but I was looking for the MacBook which stopped going on retailers shelves not a MacBook air or pro.

Apple only sells the MacBook to educational institutions now, not to consumers. You won't be able to find a new one for sale, though perhaps you can get a used one elsewhere.
I would recommend the MacBook Air. Small and light with plenty of features.
I do know that you can only get the old model new only if your an educational institute so that didnt really answer my question but do u know where I can get a second hand macbook in good condition for a resnoble price?
