Aug 21, 2012 6:28 AM in response to Linc Davisby mike needs help,Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to my question.
From what I've read you get better quality pictures if you edit from RAW and then convert that image into a jpeg. I need some software to do that converting, preferably in batches, if you know of any.
I'm currently using Snow Leopard.
Thanks

Photos for MacYou may be an ideal candidate for either Apple's Aperture apportion Adobe's Lightroom app. Personally I have both but my preference is Aperture however Lightroom is excellent too.

Photos for MacNo not free, you asked for the best way not free. The two normally don't go hand in hand.

ApplicationsIf your camera is on that list, you can convert the files in iPhoto, which came bundled with the machine. You might need an upgrade to a newer version, which is not free. There are some free third-party RAW converters around, but I don't have a list or a recommendation.

This is free open-source. You'll have to check their pages to see if your camera is supported.

Not free either, but the best shareware program ever made for the Mac.
