iWeb on ML not finding domain file

I have transferred the domain file from user/<username>/Library/iWeb from my snow leopard external boot drive to the Mountain Lion boot drive, but when I start iWeb it shows no sites! It works OK in Snow leopard. Has Apple nobled it in Mountain Lion? and if so WHY?????

iWeb surely must still be a viable program for creating web sites, and using it to upload to new servers can't hurt Apple can it?

Can anyone tell me what the **** is going on?? 😠

Mike.

Info: Mountain Lion installed on an internal 160GB partition of a 1TB drive in my Macbook Pro

Snow Leopard installed on a Lacie external Firewire 800 drive.

Are you sure you've put it in the correct place? Apple have hidden the user’s Library folder to casual viewers, in an attempt to stop new Mac users screwing their machines up. To access it, in the Finder go to the ‘Go’ menu and hold down the Option (Alt) key; the Library folder will appear as a choice.

When you've opened your user Library, go to Application Support/iWeb and make sure your Domain file is placed in that folder.

Thanks a lot Roddy, the link led me to download a utility that made iWeb "see" my multi-domain site file.

and Yes Roger I did put the file in user/Library iWeb, but iWeb was just ignoring it. It was lucky that I still had a copy on an older Snow Leopard boot disc that I still had floating around because it had "mysteriously" disappeared off my Lion backup copy!

Thanks again to both of you for your help.

Regards, Mike.

Here is one more tip .....

I am about to go overseas and had to get iWeb sites

transfered to my laptop. The laptop has the iWeb program but

lacks the new client files.

Here is what I did :

Finder -> Go -> Press option key to reveal "Library" -> Application support -> Domain sites2

Make a duplicate of Domain site2 and drag it into the dropbox !

Now I can open iWeb from my laptop and hopefully upload changes.

I don't think the changes will be reflected in the original computer though.

I wonder an alias file would synchronize with the original.

Any other ideas ? Let me know.
