Edit with Photoshop

I am having problems with the roundtrip editing in Photoshop CS6

I have the export settings set to export as an 8 bit Tiff file. The file opens first in Camera Raw and then when you click open it shows up in CS6. I make some adjustments and click save but the adjusted image does not save back in Aperture (even though a tiff has been created it does not change appearance)

I have tried saving both as a tiff and psd and have tried generating new preview but it does not show.

My library is a managed one.

All the plugin programs save back without problem.

Aperture 3, OS X Mountain Lion

When saving in Photoshop you need to ensure tht Photoshop always appends the filename extension and that this extension is "tiss", not "tif".

The preference is set in the "Photoshop Preferences > File handling"; also you need to check the preference to save files back to the original folder, not somewhere else - use "save" and not "save as"

What is your Aperture 3 version? There used to be a bug, that the thumbnails did not update after sending a file to Photoshop, but this bug is supposed to be fixed in "Aperture 3.3.2". The work-around was to add some adjustemnt in Aperture after returning from Photoshop, to force the updating of the thumbnails.
