I just purchased the IMAC 26". I am very impressed with it after using Windows for many years. I am looking for an AOL browser that I can install on my IMAC. Does anyone have any suggestions or have you had any luck with with a version of AOL that you could recomend me to install.

AOL is great for getting used to a few of the basic ideas on the Internet.
But I would never recommend AOL to anyone who has been using a computer for a while. There are some slight setup issues with other tools, but when you get beyond that you almost never have to deal with that again.
Try out Safari. If you don't like it, look at Firefox, a free download.
I am sorry Grant but I am not looking for a browser, I am already using Safari and Firefox. Hatter, what are the sites that you are suggested? I looked at them and did not find any answer or help as far as using AOL on my IMAC. Any suggestions or can you point me to a link that would help me indownloading and installing and using AOL?
AOL hasn't offered their own browser in years. AOL is now just a web site, a portal to their services:
So you need to use one of the several standard browsers. Hence Grant's suggestion of other browsers if you can't or do not wish to use Safari is right on point. AOL does offer a packaged version of Firefox which includes their own toolbar and settings, if that's what you're looking for.

I am so Sorry for what I posted. I have no idea as to why my post says what it does, so let me update it and explain and again, "I am so sorry as to what I posted and what my reply's were to you people that took the time to not only read my post, but to take the time to give me idea's as to help me. You do not need (and there may not be) AOL software for your Mac. Just browse to www.aol.com, your stuff is there.
Use any browser you desire. 🙂

Are you trying to pick up AOL emails?
Apple Mail can do that for you. It takes little set up, but you only have to do that once, and then it is trouble-free.
There should be directions in AOL help.

I think the poster above is on to something. My mom had AOL until recently, and I used to help her sort her stuff out when she had problems. I remember that AOL had their own program that was both browser and email client. Is that what you're looking for?
It would seem they still make that program for Mac, but I think I also heard you say it's not working that well. If you really want to get that type of interface back, then a complaint to AOL would be one place to start. Skimming through the article it seems they have a new version out, and it might not be bug free yet. So they need to hear from you as to what problems you're experiencing.
Until they get it "fixed", if you can't abide using the AOL software, then I'd recommend what others have: use any other internet browser to access their web page and the internet. You can also do web mail off of their home page (aol.com). OR, as suggested above, use an email client like "Mail" or "Thunderbird" to get your mail (from my quick scan of various articles, it would seem you can use just about any email client with AOL). So you'll end up with two programs running somewhat separately instead of one, but in my opinion it will work better than AOL's program once you get used to it.
Does that help, or is there something else you're getting at?

Thanks for everyone that has replied so far. I am not, let's worried about my email on or off AOL email. Like one said above, if I need to get my email, then I can just go to AOL.com and get it. What I am looking to try to do is to install AOL onto my PC and looking for a version that work's with my new IMAC w/Mountain Lion. I enjoy working using AOL as I am use to it. I have a lot of sites Saved/Bookmarked, my Contacts are all there and it's where I get most of my email from. I am looking for a version of AOL that I can install and use on my IMAC w/Mountain Lion. I don't need a browser or an email client, At this point all I need or would like to have is a version of AOL that I can download and install that will work with my IMAC/Mountain Lion.

IMO, a waste of time since I cannot find any Mac-related software there.
Is it that their "AOL Desktop for Mac" doesn't work with Mountain Lion, or that you don't like how it functions? Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you were already running it, but didn't like how it functioned.
Either way, two ideas for you: it might be better to ask their tech support about this. They would know what else is available, when upgrades might be coming, etc.
Second, you should be able to export contacts from AOL to a new email client, and you should be able to export bookmarks as well. That's an extra little speed bump, but once it's done you're back to normal. (Though I also understand about losing a software that has become a very helpful part of your day.)
