The problem exists at some different times a day and everytime I restart finder!

It started for me with installing mountain lion.

i have now figured out if i UNCHEK the box "show icon preview" in the settings for finder there is NO problem with the task and everything runs smooth, but immediately if I check the box, the process will run on 100%

I don't know why, but for the moment this is the only solution i can find.

I don't think that it is a corrupt or incomplete file, cause everything is working fine!

I now found the "bad data". It is a MS Excel document, but it works absolutely fine!

I took the data to another folder and there is the problem again! So it is really a bad data even if it's working absolutely fine!

It also began with Mountain Lion, i had the data since the beginning of my MacBook (about a year ago) and there was NO problem!

But now I know what fixed my problem, thank you very much!!!
