I'm in real estate and need java to print forms.  Why won't my mac allow me to do so?

Hold the command and spacebar to get Spotlight in the upper right corner and type: Java Preferences, press enter.

Turn on Java and reboot the computer, Java should work now with all it's insecurities.

Apple issued a security update for Intel 10.5-10.8 that turns off Java if it's not used in a certain period of time, simply turn it on and it should work now.
