I enter my WPA Security code but it says incorrect password

I type in WPA Security code but it says incorrect password - Ipod Touch - am I using incorrect password to connect to my new Wifi provider

iPod touch, Am I typing in incorrect password

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router.

- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks?

- Do other devices successfully connect to the network?

- You said "am I using incorrect password to connect to my new Wifi provider" Hopefuly you meant I am using the correct password.

I am using the WPA Security key I was given with my new wifi modem - it has worked with laptops and my daughters smartphone but is coming up Incorrect password when I enter it on my ipod. I know it is case sensitive I am using capitals etc but still no good.

I was thinking maybe I have to type in another password ??

I also cannot locate HOME key - my On/Off button is in middle at bottom of my ipod touch but as far as the HOME button I am stumped .

I have reset network settings and also turned off router for 15 seconds and back on again.

I go to SETTINGS - then click ON next to Wi-Fi then where it says CHOOSE A NETWORK - my new network and SSID comes up - it has a padlock next to it - I click on it , the next page has IP Address and other headings under that i.e. IP Address down to Client ID Then under that is HTTP PROXY which is Off - should it be in Manual or Auto not Off ?

The Security Key WPA worked on our laptop and my daughters HTC mobile so why won't it work on ipod ?
