If I want to boot from the DVD Insatll and "C" button, then you can hear noises as though it accesses the DVD but there is a gray background with the Apple logo and a spinning circle. I do so not in the Mac operating system but only in Windows.

I have Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro and there is a Windows Partition an a Mac Partition.
When I want to start the Mac OS X there comes a grey Screen with the Apple Logo and a circel which is turning.
Now i want to install the OS X new, and boot from the Install DVD of OS X.
I press the key "c" and after a while the same grey screen comes and i cant do no further action.
The Windows Partiton works well.

it is Mac OS X 10.6.3 and I got it when I bought the Mac.
Turn the computer off. Press the power button. When you hear the sound, hold down the "Option" key.
Select the DVD icon.
When I do that, same grey sreen comes. 😟
