MacBook Pro SSD

apple website says 2012 MacBook Air SSD is "twice as fast" as the 2011 one

I'm just wondering is this the case with the MacBook Pro? Is the 2012 SSD optional feature on the 13" Pro upgraded in the same way as the Air or does the Pro just use the same SSD as 2011 model

idk if this even matters was just wondering

thx 🙂

I don't see how they can claim that the SSD is twice as fast unless they were using SATA II in 6.0 Gbps Serial ATA connections? It does hold twice the memory... but they both have SATA III controllers... surely they weren't using 3.0 Gbps flash storage devices?

I don't know - maybe they were...
