Can't install Mountain Lion, says "This disk cannot be used to start up your computer."

I'm running Mac OS X version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).


Size of my disk is 249.72 GB. Available space is 161.36 GB.


I have deleted my partition already. Also repaired disk permissions but to no avail.
