I am needing a Numbers spreadsheet that will allow for tracking mileage, cost of gas, amount of gas and cost per mile. Where is there an established template for this?

I checked the iWork template site and didn't see one. It's not hard to build one though. I would do this:

Header row: Date, Odometer, Mileage, Fuel, Cost, MPG, and $PM. You might add a Notes column if you want to keep track of octane rating.

1st data row: populate at least the initial odometer reading.

2nd data row: populate your next fill up. For mileage, use today's odometer - last odometer. MPG is mileage/fuel, and $PM is cost/mileage.

3rd data row and after: copy previous data row and paste, then repopulate with new values.

I used a similar sheet to prove to my boss that we can get more miles per dollar using high octane rather than cheaper regular gas.
