While attempting to fix the screen (vertical lines) on my 17 inch 1.86Ghz intel iMac i accidentally tore the cable which connects to the Wifi antenna (part number 820-2008-A).

The result was the iMac cannot find the wirless networks. I tried re-attaching the cable by hand and by solder but i get a very weak signal. Prior to the damage it used to find a lot of networks and had an excellent signal.

I cannot understand the wire..... It is strange and i have no idea what way to strip it and what part to attach to the antenna. I tried but i'm making the cable shorter.

Any ideas or work-arounds please would be very much appreciated.
