Aug 22, 2012 1:29 PM in response to boltondby Demo,Try rebooting your router then. Unplug if from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Reboot your iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Aug 22, 2012 2:30 PM in response to boltondby brianfromromulus,Try this:
1. sign into app store via apple store app on home screen
2. tap on update on navigation bar
3. if receive message "can not connect to itunes store" then on navigation bar tap on featured, then scroll to your apple id and tap to sign out.
4. Go to settings > store > sign-in
5. tap sign-in then login with your apple id and password.
6. Tap on apple store app on home screen, then go to update
7. You should be able to update apps.
If not you may have to perform another hard reset.
I know this can be frustrating as it has happened to me more than once.

Aug 22, 2012 7:33 PM in response to boltondby BeersYourFriend,Im having the same problem... I can download any apps, to purchase or look through... But, i cannot download any of my Updates. Very strange! just say's "Cannot connect to iTunea Store." Although, I can still look for, and purchase apps? Doesn't make any sense...
Yes, I already logged off of my Apple ID Store, in the Settings section. Then resigning back in. Plus I restarted my router, and still nothing.
This is happening on both my iPad & iPhone as well!
Anyone have some other ideas, or options?
Thanks!

Aug 22, 2012 8:38 PM in response to HaileyBearby BeersYourFriend,It doesn't do anything...
I think Apple is tweaking things for iOS 6, and is causing problems for a lot of people.
Unless there is a fix... HELP!

Aug 22, 2012 9:04 PM in response to boltondby nj9800,I have also been having the same issue with my 1st Gen iPad. I have tried all the suggestions I have found and nothing works. We also have an iPad2 and iPod Touch - both of these work fine.
I have reset the network, logged out and back in wih the same and different Apple IDs, verified the ID and credit card information for the accounts, and hard reset multiple times including between logging out and back into the Store account. The issue seems to be between the iPad and and iTunes Store not the home network or other devices. The same error occurs when I am at another site with wifi access.
I'm at a losss as to what to do next.

Aug 22, 2012 9:24 PM in response to nj9800by nj9800,BTW... this issue is only occurs when selecting UPDATES through the iPad App Store. New purchases work fine. Selecting Updates returns the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" - no error code is provided.
