tying to update my apps and tells me cannot connect to itunes store
iPad
Worked for me! Now we know who the real Apple Geniuses are!!!
Date change and re-set did it for me! This problem was driving me nuts - why couldn't Apple just publish this quick and simple fix on their help site? Finding the solution has taken 1000 times longer than implementing it! Grrr 🙂
I did a reset, and it didn't work - think twice before doing that
I should clarify, I changed the date to a couple of years in the future, then re-set THE DATE, not the iPad! Took about 20 seconds in total!
I changed the year to 2014 an then changed it back...and I worked!! Thx
For anyone that the time change doesn't work for. Make sure all your apps are compatible with your software. If one app won't update sometimes it stops the rest of then from downloading. If you are getting an error stating "cannot connect to store" change the date! Go year by year until it fixes. It will fix but each time u change the date you MUST go to the app store before switching back to auto.
If you are getting any other errors and would like further assistance you can message me directly at drumersgrl@hotmail.com
I am working with several people and may take me longer to reply but I usually reply within the hour. Thanks in advance for your patience and I will do my best to help! :-)
The reset thing worked for me but nothing else did.
I am believer too. I forwarded it a month and then back. Presto, it works.
After trying everything else mentioned with nothing working I bit the bullet and also reset all settings and it still didn't work. I then moved the date forward and back again and finally my updates showed up and I was back in business.
changing the date worked!! thank you!!
+1 on the 2 year date shift as a fix for this iOS glitch
Thanks everyone, was getting v annoyed, but changed date 2 days ahead and updates worked fine. Went back to auto and connects okay now also. V Strange
Hi, date change, reset didn't work for me..help please.
New ipad2 user..
App store works, safari works, only problem with iTunes store..inputs pls
Thanks
Sill does not work for me ... tried everything form date change (many many times), am to pm, DNS change nothing ... any other suggestions? ...
I've had the same issue multiple times on my iPhone after upgrading to iO6.
The only solution I have found is pretty simple - hope it works for you...
1. Double press the home button to pull up the quick access list.
2. Hold down the icon so you can "shut it down". And shut down the App store app.
3. Relaunch - this puts hte default selection to "Featured Apps" instead of upgrade.
Once this popped up I was able to navigate to the Upgrades and everything worked fine.
