Sep 20, 2012 4:58 AM in response to boltondby JPXusked,I've had the same issue multiple times on my iPhone after upgrading to iO6.
The only solution I have found is pretty simple - hope it works for you...
1. Double press the home button to pull up the quick access list.
2. Hold down the icon so you can "shut it down". And shut down the App store app.
3. Relaunch - this puts hte default selection to "Featured Apps" instead of upgrade.
Once this popped up I was able to navigate to the Upgrades and everything worked fine.

Sep 21, 2012 11:28 PM in response to boltondby oxenjo30,you guys got lucky that solved your issue.
I have the same problem, but all suggestion like change the date forward for a couple of months didn't work for me. Lucky you could still access your app store, but for mine its not. When launching the app, i'm greeted with an error message of "cannot connect to itunes store". So buying, downloading and getting updates for apps is no longer possible in my ipad2. Hope you guys could help me out.
I already sign-out and sign-in again.
Resetted my network router but all didn't work.
Need a little help
Thanks,
John

Sep 21, 2012 11:46 PM in response to jelkas123by oxenjo30,It's getting me headache.
I can brose the itunes app, but the app store!!! ***!! come on apple, can't provide a permanent fix to this **** error!?

Sep 22, 2012 7:09 PM in response to oxenjo30by Drumersgrl,Only changing the date a few months will NOT fix the problem. You have to do it year by year until it fixes. The year is different for each device.
Manually change the year, go to updates and u will receive the error to check date and time. Then set date and time to auto. Keep doing that until it fixes.

Sep 22, 2012 8:33 PM in response to boltondby wildernesshike,I was having the same problem of iTunes not seeing my iPad the last few days, but then I found a way to get my iPad to sync. Here is what works for me:
1) Shut off computer.
2) Shut off iPad.
3) Turn on both devices.
4) Open iTunes on computer.
5) Select iPad in iTunes on left side of iTunes (one click).
6) Click on sync in lower right of iTunes.
This works every time for me, but I don't ever remember having to shut off both devices in order to be able to sync before I updated to iOS 6 on my iPad. Now, I have to go through this whole process or else it won't sync. I also noticed that clicking on sync on my iPad does not work since I updated to iOS 6. Apparently iOS 6 has messed up sync, but at least I found a way to get it to work for me.

Sep 23, 2012 6:32 PM in response to boltondby Prospect10,I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support and did a complete reset....I still can't access the App store or any other Apple website when I'm on WiFi....all my other apps as well as Safari work fine.....but if I change over to cellular, I can access everything....except for Urban Spoon which starts to load and then pops out to the home screen. I am totally frustrated and want my old operating system back. I've never had one problem with this iPad until downloading this new OS....I was far too trusting of Apple.
